Inflating sales for independent retailers
"Myles Salmon, and husband and wife team Mark and Sue Lawless were all working in the camping and caravanning accessories industry when they spotted a gap in the market for something new. In its first year the company did £400,000 worth of business, supported, as Myles explains, by their network of independent retailers.
“We have only ever supplied independent retailers and that is a key part of our success.” He says. “They have an exclusive brand with Kampa – something people can’t buy elsewhere on the High Street, and customers return because they want to buy more Kampa branded products. It’s a mutually sustaining relationship; we’ve supported the independents, and the independents have then bought more and supported us.”"
